  1. They sound delish but I'm wondering about the Truvia baking blend I think it has sugar in it. Or is yours some you have mixed up yourself?

    1. Yes, the Truvia baking blend does have trace amounts of sugar to my knowledge...another option is to use 1/2 C. of xylitol/erythritol and a 1/4 tsp. of pure stevia extract. :-)

  2. Where do you get the Lily's Stevia sweetened chocolate chips? I live in a small town in Canada and I'm pretty sure I've never seen these chocolate chips. Also, Where can I find Truvia baking blend?

    1. My mom purchases the Lily's Chocolate Chips from Vitacost (online). I'm pretty sure she was able to find the Truvia baking blend at the regular grocery store like Publix, Super Target, or even Walmart. But if not, I did find it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Truvia-Baking-Blend-Sweetener-Pound/dp/B00935AGUM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1407184030&sr=8-2&keywords=truvia+baking+blend

      Hope that helps! :-)

  4. I just made these tonight and they turned out superb!

  5. The outsides burned and the insides stayed almost liquid. I used the Erythritol/stevia method- was that my problem? I'm going to try again with Truvia.

  6. OH. MY. WORD!!! I just made these, and they are AWESOME!!! I made them in silicone mini muffin pans, to help with portion control. It made 18 mini brownies. I used the erythritol and stevia blend, and cooked them until they were mostly set on top, but not 100%. This will definitely be a new favourite! Thank you SO much for coming up with this recipe! I'm going to check out more of your thm recipes! I have a feeling that my skeptical husband might actually eat them with me! :)

  7. Don't the sweetened chocolate chips have sugar in them? If so they are not on plan with THM.

  8. No, the Lily's brand that she recommends in the recipe are stevia sweetened. They're the only ones I've found that are completely on plan for THM :)

  9. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been doing THM for just over a month, and I haven't found a chocolate recipe I could stand ... until now! I get that the Truvia Baking Blend isn't "on plan," but for a once in a while treat, I don't really care. Thanks again!

  10. Are the chocolate chips optional?

  11. LOLOLL!!! I agree with your entire (ENTIRE) first paragraph!! I'd much rather eat a REAL dessert once in a while than throw away yet another "cake" in a mug (all those wasted ingredients!! i give UP!). Thanks for keepin it real!
I googled "THM pb brownies with pb powder" and yours caught my eye- will try tonight. Thanks for doing the leg work for me!!!

  12. Outstanding! By far the best dessert since I started THM. I used 1/2 c of xylitol and 1 1/2 tsp thm sweet blend. It is sooooo good! Thank you for a great recipe.

  13. Simply amazing! I have been so disappointed in so many THM desserts, and thirst brownies have turned my sadness to absolute joy! Thank you for sharing!

  14. So we can't use xylitol in this household so I use mostly truvia. Would it be 1/2 c regular truvia be ok? Also going to replace the butter with ghee and eggs with applesauce. Also going to try with the THM baking blend. Boy, turning this puppy allergy cake upside down.
